    • Tom K Kemp is a filmmaker and artist who employs game writing, film and installation to examine and reimagine the complex structures that organise collective life.
Working primarily through the roleplaying game form, he combines political simulation, genre fiction
and speculative thinking into semi-improvised group storytelling, in which participants generate plot,
dialogue, diagram and performance together. By folding organisational structures, political metaphor and imagined worlds into gameplay shaped by players’ lived experience and digressions, his work explores group agency and the unintended consequences of modelling reality.
    • Tom has worked with ArkDes, Stockholm, CAPC Bordeaux, EYE Filmmuseum, Amsterdam, La Casa Encendida, Madrid, the Museum für Kunst und Gewerbe, Hamburg, the Bonington, Nottingham and Two Queens, Leicester. Residencies include Cité des Arts International, Paris, Triangle-Astérides, Marseille, and Rupert, Vilnius.
    • Recent publications include Dead Minutes, and Gackling Moon with Patrick Stuart.
    • Tom is an alumni of School of the Damned class of 2017, and the Rijksakademie van Beeldende Kunsten.
